Ok, so it is April 1st almost the 2nd as a write this. I have not blogged in quite a while so I don't know how much I am going to try to catch up everyone on... This is always a difficult forum in that I should be marketing all of our newest products and services, and instead I want to tell you what has been going on!
Well lets see, Gabriel is 12 and doing very well in school. I am very blessed to have sole custody of my son. And for you weird people out there.. No his mom is not a bad person, Gabriel just does very well with his dad, and I like it that way!
This last fall I was at many different Conventions and corporate events, We started out our spring season doing a 9000 mile 10 state tour in February. It was awesome!
We had stops in Texas, Florida, Georgia, and Nashville Tennessee in between Gabriel & I played at Disneyland in Orlando.
This last yr I have picked up Kiteboarding, and Gabriel and I hit the skate park on our bikes.... Yes the skate park!
Now when it comes to gear and equipment I am a stickler for the best there is. Now that does not mean it is the most expensive equipment on the market, however I don't want to spend money at xxmart only to have whatever I buy fall apart 3 days later. So I think one of the things I should blog about is our gear because If you ever want to go play like we do then good gear is mandatory!
So when it comes to Kites I have a 06 20 meter Naish Torch and a 5 meter Flexi foil Bullet. I also have a 04 Naish Mutant Kiteboard and a 06 Alex Brown MBX Landboard.
Now bikes were a different story. to be blunt I did not want a multi speed Mountain Bike with shocks front and back. Seriously though I weigh 230 Lbs so sitting on most of them it felt like they where folding in half underneath me. Not fun! So I was griping about it, I wanted a bike that was big enough for me, lite, and strong enough to go bang around a trail or a skate park without costing 5000.00 and I did not want to play around with all the extra gears that I am not going to use anyway. (for you hardcore mountain bikers sorry I just don't use them). Well after a lot of searching I finally found what I was looking for. It's called a Dirt Jump Bike, I know weird name. It's not considered a Mountain Bike nor is it a BMX Bike. It is a very strong very light bike with extra wide handlebars shocks on the front fork, 26 inch wheels and one gear. My Favorite is the Haro Thread One. It was perfectly priced (under 600.00) and takes a beating!
Ok by now you probably have guessed I am into what people describe as extreme sports. Now for you kids out there Gabriel and I never go and play without full safety gear on. We always wear helmets and pads and any other necessary gear to keep us safe.
Now if you have actually read this far you are wondering I am sure what this has to do with Hypnosis. Well everything and nothing at all. Oh I know confusing for sure however to be a good Hypnotist you must not only have a great grasp of the technical knowledge, you have to focus on the outcome. When you are involved in any sort of active sports you learn really quickly to keep your focus on where you want to be. If you focus on where you are at, you will choke up and crash.
It is the same in life. Most people focus on where they are, not where they want to be, and either never start down the path to where they want to be or trip over their own feet in the hurry to stare at their shoelaces. If you want success focus on where you want to be!
Now on a business note I have rebuilt the website, created new graphics, added new services and started to create a whole new look for the company. I hope you like it.
In my blogs I will be updating you on what we are doing. I will provide links on the site to point you in the right direction if you are building a company on the net.
Well tonight We finished up the Colorado River Fair in Blythe CA. 4 days of fun in the sun, this was our 4th yr there. and we had a great turnout for our shows. Thanks Blythe!
Catch you soon,
Justin James
